Booster Bears is powered by a team of dedicated parent volunteers who are committed to building a stronger school community through events, support, and school spirit.
We are all volunteers—and you don’t need any prior experience to get involved. If you have a heart to help, there’s a place for you here!
Meet our 2025–2026 Booster Bears officers below:
President
Laura Kamiyama has been an active and passionate volunteer at SBA since 2017, and she is honored to serve as President. A proud mom of three—Matt (26), Amelia (12), and Connor (12)—Laura is deeply invested in the school community. Her daughter Amelia is currently in 7th grade at Sitting Bull, while her son Connor attends Phoenix Academy in their SPED program.
With years of experience and a heart for service, Laura leads with dedication, organization, and a collaborative spirit. She works closely with families, staff, and volunteers to support school programs through fundraising, event planning, and community-building efforts. Her mission is to help create a supportive, inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Vice President
I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new Vice President of Booster Bears. My name is Christine Horton, and I’ve been a proud part of the Sitting Bull community for the past seven years. As the parent of an amazing eighth grader, I’ve had the joy of watching our school grow into a vibrant, supportive environment—and I’m excited to help make it even better.
Volunteering and giving back have always been passions of mine. I truly believe that when we come together as a community, we can achieve incredible things.
As Vice President, my goal is to help make our school not just a place for learning, but a home—a place where every student, parent, and staff member feels connected, supported, and inspired.
I’m looking forward to working with all of you to bring in fresh ideas, build strong partnerships, and create lasting memories for our kids.
Let’s make this year one to remember!
Secretary
Hi everyone! I’m Nicole Fleming, and I’m excited to serve as Secretary for the Booster Bears. I’m a proud mom of two boys in 4th and 5th grade, and I love staying active—whether that’s working out, running, or diving into fun, crafty projects.
I’m looking forward to getting involved, supporting our school community, and helping create meaningful experiences for our kids. I can’t wait to connect with more of you and help make this a great year!
Treasurer
Hi there! I’m Dana Massie, proud mom of a 5th grader and an 8th grader at SBA, and honored to serve as this year’s Treasurer for the Booster Bears. I’ve been part of the SBA community since 2017 and love helping bring events and projects to life behind the scenes. I manage the numbers, balance the budgets, and help keep our finances running smoothly... just don’t hand me a microphone.
When I’m not deep in spreadsheets, you’ll likely find me with an iced coffee in one hand, a book in the other, and five tabs open planning our family’s next trip.
